MEET THE TRIBE'S ACE!

Welcome to the future of Cleveland Indians pitching! C.C. Sabathia arrived on the scene in 2001, starting the season at just 20 years of age and took baseball by storm! C.C. went  17-5 in his rookie season and went 6 innings with 5 K's, 6 hits, and just 2 earned runs in his first post season start...a "must win" game for the Tribe! On February 23, 2002, the Tribe signed C.C. to a 4 year deal with a club option for year 5. (Read the story at Indians.com) After a rough start in his Sophomore year, C.C. finished the 2002 campaign strong. Working hard over the winter, C.C. came into spring training 2003 more prepared then ever...both physically and mentally. Look for big things from the big man!
